After a long time, another rare Saigal ghazal:
‘gar siyah-bakht hii hona tha naseebon mein mere
zulf hota tere rukhsar pe ya til hota
The recording I have has the first line snipped off. It could be cleaner too — this file is too saturated and a little noisy. Maybe I will re-digitize it someday when I have the time.

Major site update today — it has been ported over to an entirely new system. All the old entries have been copied over, although of course the dates on them are all wrong now. Hopefully this will be a better interface for you to browse, and also make it easier to add content and new features.

The last two recordings of Master Madan in our little treasure trove are these two Punjabi songs. There is a faster tempo and some orchestral support, and his usual intensity of soul and pathos.
