Hi,
I am desperately looking for a Bhajan of Kamala Jharia,
“Ghunghut-ka-paat khol…”. When I was very little I listened to this
bhajan over radio few times (from one of the Indian radio station). This superb, melodious bhajan was used by Deepa Mehta in her movie “Water” but only first one line. I will be highly delighted and appreciate it very much if you help me how I can listen this Bhajan again or direct me to the website where I may be able to listen to this imortal bhajan of Kamala Jharia.

I have been looking for these rare songs for some time. Unfortunately, the .RAM files are not playing on my machine. Can somebody tell me which software will help me with the same?

Dear Mayaji. As far as I REMEMBER ghoonghat ka pat khol re tohe piya milenge was sung by the GREAT JUTHIKA ROY and not KAMALA JHARIA. Her bhajans and Geets are available on HMV cassettes and cd’s.

Ghunghat Ka Pat…….was sung by Juthica Roy and later by hersister Geeta Roy(Dutt) in film Jogan.

और हाँ ज्यूथिका रॉय का गया मीरा का भजन ” बादल देख डरी ” जिसके संगीतकार कमल दासगुप्ता हैं वह भी किसी को चाहिये तो मेल करें साइज बहुत कम है मात्र 254 Kb.
यह उन गानों में से एक है जिन्हें मैं बहुत पसन्द करता हूँ।

My mother enjoys music by Juthika Roy, but I can’t find any one who supplies or sells her music. I was in Mumbai looking. I am currently in UK and there’s no hope of finding anything where I am. So for when I am next in India, please tell me where I can buy Juthika’s cassettes or if not then CD’s. Thanks

I am thankful to both Dr. Pradhan and A.R. Jalalzai for correcting me. You were right,
“Ghunghat Ka Pat” was sung by Great Juthika Roy, not by Kamala Jharia as I thought.
I also found the website of Juthika containing this great imortal Bhajan…thanks again.
